BioA is a Nexus rat.
Her full name was Alyssa but almost no one called her that, mainly becuase almost no-one knew it.
Like the other rats, she was born in the Nexus. Her mother died before she reached the age of two. She found M shortly after. She's now seventeen.
Her mother was a dis-loyal Nexus-gang member and was always picking fights with the other members. One day she picked one with the gang-leader, and wound up getting torn apart, literally. When A realized what was going on, she screamed and tried to tell someone, but wound up getting the shit beaten out of her. The gang tied her up and duct-taped her mouth shut, telling her that if she ever said anything to anyone, then she'd get the same fate as her mother.
She's basically a mute. She talks very little and writes out what she needs to say, most of the time.
The only one who she will actually talk to is M, since she knew he couldn't read or write.
A also places her highest trust in M after he found her taped up one night and snuck her off while the gang slept. He wasn't sure what to do with her after that, so she just stuck around with him, becoming a rat of the Nexus and helping out the other rats.
Being a determind little girl, she learned to read and write on her own, occasionally getting help from strangers.
She's bald for a reason.
One, she loves feeling the breeze across her bare head.
And two, she got irratated with trying to keep her hair from getting matted, so she shaved it off.
(Also, somewhere deep in her subconcious, a lost memory lies of a time when one of the gangsters grabbed her hair with his filthy hands and told her 'how pretty' it was. This may also be why she shaves her head, never letting it grow out.)
